Health is one of the most basic and indispensable elements of life and is an interdisciplinary field. As a requirement of their profession, health professionals are in constant communication with patients and their relatives with different sociocultural and economic characteristics. These differences require different knowledge and skills. Accordingly, in this book, communication with patients and their relatives in different clinics, empathy and communication skills are discussed by experts in this field.
This book was written by physicians, nurses, social workers, psychologists, dieticians, physiotherapists, and academicians from the fields of communication.
It is thought that this book, which has been prepared with the aim of improving the communication and empathy skills of health professionals both with their patients as individuals and with their relatives during the treatment process they are applying; thus contributing to increase the quality of care they provide to them, will guide all health professionals and anyone interested and will meet an important need in this field.
